Calvin Harris, is on the short list of world renowned disc spinners that have merited themselves invitations to play at, what are looking like, the cool party places of the games. While Benni Bennassi, Armin Van Buuren and MSTRKRFT have all booked slots earlier in the event, it could well be Calvin Harris that runs away with the gold. The King of Electropop is still riding the success of '09's Ready for the Weekend and he appears to be building a steady stream of momentum. Calvin Harris has proven that, like any fine athlete, he relishes on the big stage and what stage could be bigger than one of the host Olympic cities' craziest clubs. Constantines have come a long way since they first started; they've been on the touring circuit with indie's bigger players, have signed to the ever-so-popular Arts & Crafts label, and have been critically acclaimed for their last album Kensington Heights. It's taken 11 years, but these guys are finally getting somewhere, and while the Ontario Pavilion might not do them justice, it's still nice for the Guelph kids' indie rock sound to get some more exposure.
