Surinder Singh, Proprietor
There is a new camper in the neighbourhood and he brought his own 'mobile home' which the observant will note when they visit his new establishment. Mr. Surinder Singh, a life-long resident of Vancouver and the Vancouver East community started playing soccer a decade earlier in McLean Park with a group when he first saw the opportunity. Seeing the location, Singh's vision took root.
Surinder, whose main passion is designing and creating spaces said, “the building is in a great location and in a great community; a prime spot for a neighbourhood grocery and which happens to also offer coffee, snacks, and sandwiches.” With an east-south exposure with great light from full-sized windows along the store-front, visitors are greeted by a warm atmosphere achieved with beautiful and comforting (more....)

City of Vancouver Abandons Artists!
A city evolves, never remaining the same, as the old is brought down and the new is built up. This is true in business, in social-norms, in science, transportation, and land development. One significant evolving event, The Eastside Culture Crawl, is one event that has evolved and grown significantly over the years, Starting with only a handful of locations and artists, it has grown by leaps and bounds as Artists eagerly occupied run-down places that offfered the space and environment for their craft. As the city has evolved, the Culture Crawl has too, and so has the East Vancouver communities. With the Woodwards redevelopment project, and the public outcries, social housing has been adjusted into the plans. As further evolution affects the city-scape, it would be hoped that the City of Vancouver introduces measures that retain the treasures created by the dedication and locality of so many artists in East Vancouver.
